I am an independent consultant and researcher specialising in social responsibility, business strategy and the Green Economy. As a strategic advisor and sustainability analyst I work with others in building bridges between finance and sustainability, connecting different communities of expertise world-wide.

Operating from Geneva and Cape Town, I do project work with businesses, research institutions and governmental organisations. I also work with consulting partners based in Paris, Cape Town and Melbourne, complementing my international network of experts and managers in both the non-profit and commercial sectors.

I offer Research, Strategic Advisory and Facilitation services in the areas of:
  • Management and Business Analysis, assessing sustainability risks and identifying green business opportunities, helping business transform its strategies and business models, measuring and reporting progress with clarity on longer term business benefits.
  • Industry and Partnership Analysis, helping public and private organisations to identify new market trends and develop innovative collaboration to deal with global sustainability issues, including green growth and efficient use of natural resources.
  • Policy and Political Analysis, collaborating with the financial and public service sectors as well as the research community in assessing and developing improved mechanisms for multistakeholder and/or multilateral global governance.
I have worked with recognised international experts and think tanks in producing Publications in each of the above areas, addressing topics pertinent to emerging and developed economies as well as regional integration markets.
As speaker, I present at international conferences and work with recognised partners to facilitate business workshops and executive seminars involving senior managers. These focus on their organisational and personal development needs related to social responsibility and sustainability, corporate performance, strategy and values-based leadership.

"The Natural Capital workshop was highly informative and topical. Cornis provided excellent use of examples, latest research and useful exercises." - Jacqueline Fegent-McGeachie, Sustainability Manager, Kimberly-Clark Australia and New Zealand (2013)
